HELP!! Egg broken inside my hen!!

Was it a shell less egg - meaning it still had a membrane or it was intact or did the contents of the egg spill into the oviduct.
Is she leaking egg from her vent?
Can you feel a hard shell inside the vent?

IF She's trying to pass the membrane and it won't stress her too much - give her a direct dose of vitamins along with 1 TUMS. Extra calcium is to help with contraction.
I actually usually leave mine in the run since separation stresses them more, but if you feel you need to bring her in, that would be o.k. too.

Thank you so much for your reply. She passed some membrane finally but still look exhausted. I posted follow up pictures of her and the membrane in this thread. She fell asleep and refused to drink. Hope tomorrow she will come back as a new hen. :(

After you are finished exploring, id suggest giving her a crushed tums antacid or a rolaid for a quick calcium boost.
You can also give her a warm bath with epsom salts to further stimulate expulsion of any matter left inside.
Poor girl, she looks tired.
Thank you ! I bathed her just now and she is asleep. She refused to eat or drink. I will have to check up on her morning.

Thank you so much! It’s very kind of you to help out! I washed her in warm water for a while. I found something dropping out of her vent as attached. Is it the shell? She is still in a bad spirit after I pulled out this. She is sleeping in my house now. Would she be alright?
That looks like a lash egg. I don't have personal experience with them. I do know they indicate a problem with the reproductive tract. If you have the inclination, you could speak with your vet.

Good that she passed that.
I can't tell from the photos but is that thing flimsy and empty like a skin or membrane or solid?

Can you tell us more - open up that "egg" so we can see what it looks like. Is it solid or just fluid filled?

A lot depends on the consistency of the "egg". If it's "solid" then likely Lash Egg (Salpingitis), that's an inflammation of the oviduct. Sometimes if caught early an antibiotic can be helpful.
She may have more that she needs to pass.

IF it's soft shelled/membrane with albumen (whites) in it, then I would give her a direct dose of poultry vitamins and 1 more dose of Calcium.

Vet care can be expensive, but if that's an option for you, of course going is usually the best option.

The 'egg' is fluid filled. I disposed it so I could not get a picture. My baby now looks really sick. She has watery droppings and does not eat or drink. :(
