I've got a chick who hatched at some point today, I would assume not that long ago that appears to have a gel-like yellowish(but clear) clumped substance left in a few places on the body and a few relatively good sized clumps in the egg shell. Should I be worried?
Thanks,
Madie.

It's still covered in whatever the yellow is(I'm assuming it's egg white). It seems to be doing fine, walking around, wide-eyed, and whatnot. But as it dries, it seems to be covering it's body. I don't want to risk taking it out and endangering it or the other chick that's pipped. Really I don't know what to do, or if I should do anything....

You can quickly open the incubator and take the little one out if you want, no problem. However, i usually wait until there are at least 2 so they don’t get lonely in the brooder, that part is completely your call.

As for the goo, a little isn’t too uncommon. Your humidity may have been a little off. If it doesn’t seem to be bothering the chick, you can leave it alone to wear off over the next few days, or if there’s a lot, you can wash it off with some warm water and give the chick a good blow dry so it doesn’t get chilled. If he’s up and happy, though, I’d probably not worry about it.

Some chicks are 'gunkier' than others.
Post a pic?

I should have mentioned that all seems okay now. Blondie's(I figure it works for hen or roo) up and walking around and active as ever, gave it a bit of a bath and put it back in the incubator(I don't want it left all alone in the brooder), it started to dry off and looks a lot better now. And I've checked to make sure that the "gunky" feathers aren't stuck over the vent.

And that gunk can 'glue' their eyes shut, have had to wet wipe it off the eyes.
Can also prevent down from fluffing, which can make them not as warm.
I've used a soft and dry toothbrush to help clean it off,
but eventually it will wear off or they'll preen it off.

That's what I assumed from what other people have said, the gunk seems to be away from, the eyes already, and it's beginning to fluff up like normal.
