HELP! Emergency! Please answer

That is so sad. Are these your first quail? I am wondering- if you have raised them successfully before with no problems, maybe you just got a "bad batch" genetically.

Well before these we did two batches of button quail. Both hatches were terrible, we had a deformed chick we had to euthanize, and only one lived to adulthood. We have just had really bad luck so far. Do you have experience with any hardier birds we could try? We can't have anything too big and we aren't allowed to have chickens in our area. Any suggestions?

I think the hardiest quail are the coturnix. I have never owned them myself, just know people who do. If you have poor luck with chicks, you should try finding adult birds to start with.

Thank you all so much for the advice, but all but one of the chicks died today, so I decided to start something else. I have always loved pigeons and doves, so I looked into homing pigeons and am going to start training them! Thank you all for your help and time!

Well actually, I am going to buy an adult. It would be very hard to raise them I know.
