Help... failure to thrive?

So 3 keets had pasty bums today. I took each keet out one by one and checked bums. There are a few of them who definitely weigh more than the rest and are growing in feathers. The sole remaining pearl is smaller by comparison.

I put a little oil/neosporin on the pasty bums to keep things clear. After cleaning them up they proceeded to poop all over the box so at least I know they're not stopped up.

As I put them all back in one by one I dipped beaks in the treated water.

Brooder temp 93. Actively pecking, eating, and roaming about.

SO I called the hatchery to work out my refund and while they're refunding the 10 pearls lost because I've been in touch from day 2 and housing them right, they said it sounds like coccidia and they said I need to do apple cider vinegar in their water for 3-5 days and that the electrolyte powder has too much sugar and will cause a coccidia flare. I told them they were on a treatment dose of amprol for 3 days but they said ACV works better... I'm like um ok, sure... They assured me the rest will thrive if put on ACV. I mean, I see how ACV can't hurt but might explain why their flock has such bad coccidia then...

HAH!

Well, many chickens like ACV in their water, so they drink more. Maybe guineas like it too? You can get back to us and let us know! Give them one waterer with ACV and one with the vitamins.

And the hatchery is completely wrong, it cannot be coccidia at the the age of your keets. It may SOUND like it, but it cannot be.

I hope the vitamins help your keets. I don't know anything else to help you out. :(

I would also give the remaining ones drops straight to the beak of a smaller mixed up dose called a Drench.
remind me if you have the liquid or powder Corid?

Chicks as young as two days old can show signs of Coccidiosis.
I've thought it was Coccidiosis from day one.
Are you going to send the one body for a necropsy?

So if I have them on corrid they can't also get ACV, correct? I have noticed them drinking more and being more active.

I also hard boiled some eggs and gave them the crumbled yolk and they're all going bonkers eating it. Hoping to keep their strength up.

They initially were treated for coccidia at the emergency high rate dosage and seems half of people say they can't get it then others say they need treatment..

Only negative of corrid is interfering with use of the vitamins/electrolytes. Not sure if they're perkier because of the electrolytes earlier or the ACV/egg yolk...

I would offer Corid water only.
I personally would not use the vitamins/electrolyes until after the Corid treatment and then only use the v/e for not more then 7 days.
