About five years ago we lost all 30 some of our 3 day old chicks in one night. They were all carried off from the cage they were in inside the chicken house, into one nesting box in a big heap. The next day thinking it was a rat or weasle we put out tons of traps, the next day we had a flying squirrel in a rat trap.

ahhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just put food everywhere! protect your baby chicons!

Ask everyone you know in your area if they know of any trappers, then call them and ask them for help. We had a mink get into our chickens last month. A weasle wouldn't be taking the bodies, they just like the kill.

weasels are actually easy to trap. set up a board or tree limb up against the back of the coop. fix a small legget to the middle a few feet off the ground. Use a visual bait such as a piece of bunched up red cloth or red barries,Add chicken sent for better results. put the bait rite on the trap pan. Usually the trap snaps on there head. on ocassion you will catch a crow. Worked for me anyways.
