HELP FAST!! the eggs are peeping....with pictures

Did you give the mama hen time to return to her nest before you took the eggs away and tried to intervene? She might have just got off to stretch her legs, get a bite to eat, and a drink.

I would put the eggs back (or leave them alone if you haven't moved them yet) and give the mama a half an hour or so to see if she gets back on the nest. You might even want to try and pick her up, then set her back by the nest. She might sit back down on the eggs. My broody always sat back down once she was put back over by her eggs.

you want it around 100, humidity about 50% will work. No don't help it can take along time after pip and you don't know if they have absorded the yolk. They don't do that til after they pip.

No! If you crack open the egg and that chick hasn't fully absorbed the yolk, you will kill the chick. It's best to let mother nature do the work and leave the eggs alone.

do you have an old stryafoam ice chest?
put a heating pad in it on the bottom
I'd lie the eggs on top of something, not directly on that
so like towels or better yet
put towels on that and then lie the eggs across a pulp egg carton so they have some insulation.
put some warm web sponges in there (heat in microwave but be careful not to burn yourself, use tongs or something)
I'd but a bowl in there for the sponges and water that is higher than the eggs so the little one can't drown after they hatch.
Get the humidity up in the room by boiling water, running a hot shower, running a humidifier
you can also put the eggs on towels under a lamp to warm them (like a desk lamp or a brooder lamp if you have one of those)
but start boiling water to raise the room humidity
(you were wanting to peel off that wall paper in your kitchen anyway)

Good luck

she got off with all the other chicks at about 1:30p.m. and now its 4;35p.m. and she never went back up! and the eggs are peeping and 2 have some cracks. can i help thaem hatch? and were can i put them? i put them under a heat pad put a few sponges in a shoe box.

give them a chance to do it first. The humidity is to keep the membrane from drying out. Put them in a box on a heating pad or under a light bulb, you can lay a thermometer next to them to see how hot it gets. You have to watch really close not to cook them. Better to start it too far away and bring it gradually in closer. I just had my three banty hens all leave the nest with four babies. they left 6 eggs, all felt cool to touch, but one was pipped, I could still see it breathing. It was hatched within about an hour.

Have you tried setting the hen back on the eggs? Thats the best route. Put her in a cardboard box and put a lid on the top til she can't get out. Some place dark, she may settle right back down on them.
