help! feather loss around all of neck!

Trying to understand what is going on with my chickens! A number have feather loss on the underside of their necks, one has a completely naked neck all around! Also some feather loss on lower backs. What is going on? Is this caused by mites or bugs? Where do I go for info on that? Can chickens peck out feathers from under the neck? Doesn't look like molting at this stage.

My chickens have also currently shed their neck feathers. Roosters only, so I assumed they had been fighting, until I saw one of my hens plucking a roos neck! What's up with this??

I just posted about this in the behavior section and haven't gotten too much help. It's my rooster too. All the neck feathers are gone except on the back, looks like a mohawk. Caught one hen plucking at his frizzled feathers that were left. Trying to figure it out myself. I hope someone has advice for us
