I have two Pekin ducks so my friend decided she was going to give me these three. We saw pictures of many and cannot decide which breed they are. Can anyone help?
Exactly what I was going to say^
Some hens' heads darken up, but if they turn green/black you've definitely got a drake. From the looks of it you've got all drakes but I'm not 100% on the one up front.
My daughter said she thought that's what they were. My pekins are huge and I really feel kind of uncomfortable sex in them so I'm going to put a picture on and maybe somebody can tell me if they think they're male or female. Thank you everyone for your help.
The pekins you can't tell in this picture, but you can tell by their voices. Males have a low raspy quack and females a loud braying quack. You can hear examples here:
The trouble now is, with three male khakis, no matter how many female pekins you have, they are outnumbered, and that's not going to work. If both end up being females, you could rehome two of the khakis and keep just one and that might work. If only one is a female, I suggest you rehome her and just keep drakes.
