help figuring out what my rooster is

we have had Sir rooster for about 2 years thought he was a RIR but after seeing pictures of other rooster that look either just like him or very similar now has me stomped sorry if I have already posted this. still learning my way around. thank you for all your help

Crossbred for sure. Easter Egger isn't impossible but no way to know for sure as he won't be laying eggs. He has a large double bladed comb which is the result of a V-comb x Single comb cross. He has a beard and small muffs. He also has a small crest, more like a mullet lol. I'm thinking he may be a Bearded Polish crossed to a large single combed breed of some kind. Also he has got quite the case of scaly leg mites. You may want to treat him.

Yes we noticed too, we started treatment...lots of research before, to make sure what it was, we have never experienced it before...thank you

good thinking! I saw the muffs, and just assumed it was an Easter Egger... And I honestly didn't take a close look

I had to copy and paste onto another program to see the crest. It's just a small one but its long and flows right along with the hackle feathers. Slight bald spot behind the comb like some of the crest is missing as well.

Yeah I think they're feathers that were plucked...but that's how we got him so honestly I thought that was him :/ but as far as I remember he never has had feathers back there
