Technically, your birds *are* Americana(aka Easter Eggers), they just arent Ameraucana.....make sense?

Yes in a way they are mutts but still have a breed standards

Sort of. Many Easter eggers are actually primarily ameraucana (and in some cases 100%) but because they weren't bred for the colors that are accepted they don't count as Ameraucana to a lot of people. In most cases they aren't pure anyways and when they are pure Ameraucana but not in a recognized color they are often referred to as project colored Ameraucana as some breeders are pushing to get new accepted colors in the APA
