I recently scored a incubator and hatcher. They are very well made with GQF electronics. Has doors both on the front and back, with the front door being double pane glass. The thermostat says GQF3140 and has 3 wafers. I called GQF an they said they are not there's and I know they aren't home made. They are working properly. Any help is appreciated.

How can you tell they aren't home made?

How can you tell they aren't home made?

The woman I purchased them from said her late husband ordered them from a company about 10-12 years ago but couldn't remember the name of the company. She said they were ordered and used once for ostrich eggs.

Oh okay. Looked around some and I thought maybe a Dickey's but the ones I've found don't seem to have doors like those. I know that during the big ostrich/emu boom there were some incubator builders that came and went so the company might not be around any more. Good thing is, since they used gqf parts you should be able to fix anything if you need to in the future.

Looks to me like very well-made home-made. I say that primarily because of your first picture. The holes on the rear of the box, one near the top and one near the bottom, look like pre-fab kitchen cabinets. The holes are where the hidden hinge sits and attached to the door. But they look really nicely done to me! I'm not knocking anything, just giving an opinion. If they work, hold temp and humidity, I say use them! And best of luck!!

Yes I have searched for hours online and haven't found any like them. I don't know that they still use those thermostats so I hope they don't give trouble.

Oh, looking again, I think its a base kitchen cabinet! The top section would be where the drawer would go. Maybe they swapped the side panels, moved the left to the right side, and the right to the left. But again, if they work, that's great! If they only used them once, I'd give it a shot for sure! Incubator Warehouse, as well as other places online, have replacement parts. Even if you can't find exact replacements, I bet you could find something that works. You may never even have to worry about it....
