Help!! First time hatcher worried about quail eggs!

My quail eggs are currently on day 16 and yesterday 1 internally pipped, 18 hours later I could hear it peep and try to hack away at it’s shell, but to no avail so at 24 hours after internal pip I made a tiny safety hole and after it seemed to gain some strength. It still hasn’t externally pipped and the egg stops moving and when I touch it it starts moving a little again. I’m scared it’s going to die I really don’t know what to do! This is my first time hatching so I have no experience! Pls somebody help me! Thanks so much xx

What is your humidity level right now? If it's too low, they can't break through the shell and or stick to the inside of the shell and die.

That might be a bit too high, they can also drown inside. Can you prop up the eggs a bit so the air cells are elevated?

Nope I have 9 and about 5 have internally pipped but no external pips yet
