Help! first time hatching!

Thanks Kathy!

The short story is: I won't say it was a huge success, but I still consider it a success. I have 4 beautiful ducklings, and one awesome turkey! Lost 3 in the final 2 days, but honestly I think the power outage (low temp for so long) caused their issues, and Mother Nature did her part to cull them before I considered intervening. I don't feel like being "upright" in the turner had any effect, but it could have. I wish there was a way to know for sure, but I don't suppose there is.
AWWW I'll read your other forum soon, That's GREAT you got some babies though.. I've decided to try one more time in the upright position and if I still have some quitters or failures, I'm going to definitely going to say it's not for me.

If successful, I will keep trying. Right now the scoreboard isn't good. LOL

I need help and I'm very new to this. But I found a clutch of 11 eggs and the mother had died (they are mallards) I have been candling them and everything is perfect they started to move around three days ago and now they have stopped. Did I kill them? I am very stressed, I just want them to be OK! Should I open an egg to see if they are still alive?

Are they in the incubator?

Yes they are and the temp is between 98.5-101. I just candeled them and I see movement in the egg but idk if they are to weak. Like I said I found them and the mother was dead so I don't know how long she was off of them.
