Are you concerned about inbreeding?

Yup

People inbreed mother to son and daughter to father to tighten up there traits. For example if a father has a beak to long and daughter doesn't you would have 50/50 chance of there kids having those same traits. This is how we get the perfect animal...

I wouldn't recommend that you keep inbreeding. But right now inbreeding them would be ok..

I am proud but I didn't give you the disease! You still have time to run, your only in the stages before the disease kicks in so your still have time to escape from all of it.. LOL BUt I will not hold my breath that you will success, HAHAHAHAHAHA

I already have an incubator in my Amazon wishlist. It's that bad. The only reason I'm not doing it this year is because I have 10 muscovy ducklings coming in April. No way I could deal with more ducklings than that. NEXT year. LOL

Here's an update, it's day 15 for the two eggs that I have on the turner in and upright position and ONE QUIT, yep, lost one, so I laid the second one down, I didn't want to loose him. The second one has moved to the bottom of the shell and he is in this VERY weird position, I can see his beak but just completely odd. almost like he's squooshed at the bottom. I will candle him tomorrow to see if his position has improved and if he's filling up that entire shell.

As far as the other eggs, all DOING GREAT, the other 9 I have laying down they have been laying down since day 1 they are all still alive and progressing nicely.. So that concludes this experiment..

what do think causes that? I had my 17 in an upright turner, upside-down down at that! I put them on their side on like day 20.
My 14 still doing great btw, and in efforts to avoid any inbreeding (lol) my husband has aquired 6 more ducklings making that a total of 20 fuzzy butts
