Help! first time hatching!

They said that all commercial duck hatcheries incubate stood up.

Not then ENTIRE Time, not from Day One to Hatching DAY..

McMurray does the same... They all use the huge commercial incubators in which eggs are placed fat end up until day 26.

OK, well I have the email for verification,

I have already tried the upright position, and know what MY RESULTS are.

I would hate it for anyone to continue to do what I have ALREADY tried and end up with more babies not hatching or dying.

I'm not going to be argumentative about it, I can only tell you what works for me..

So while I'm successfully hatching babies and others are having different results. Perhaps they will read this and figure it out..

I'm gonna leave it at that...

Also talked to Jeff at Cackle...

• Eggs incubated day 1-25 fat end up
• Rotated every 4 hours
• Misted once a day
• Day 25 placed in hatching trays on their side and moved to hatcher

And that would not work for calls since they only take 26 days.

Back to what this forum was about. All those babies. I'm curious when they went into the tub how noisy did they get?? And did you carry them individually. Lol if so did the first one make tons of noise because he was alone and settle down once the second one joined him or did you grab a group of them?? Lol
