Help! first time hatching!

I prefer about 70, so its totally up to you. You will get many different opinions, so go with what you feel you should. If you want it higher, then yes, you can add a sponge. The instructions say no more than 2/3 closed because they have to have some external oxygen when they start pipping. I would open the vent a little ways before adding the sponge and see what effect it has on humidity. Then decide on the sponge.

How big are the cracks that are already in the eggs?

Everyone has a preference, but they can do just fine at 60-65

I opened the vent a little bit. The cracks aren't even see thru. Just little round cracks at this point. If the humidity lowers, is it ok to open t to add a sponge? Would I put it under the egg tray?
SO they are Externally peeping and your worried about increasing the humidity? WHY? They are already coming with the settings you have??

Don't mess with something that isn't broken!!!

Let me explain.
The humidity wouldn't get above 69%, so I added more water to the channels. Didn't do anything. So I finally found a mister and misted the side of the incubator. It boosted it up to 72%, but now it's back down to 68%, but I'm ok with that.
All the duck eggs have externally pipped, and a couple of the chicken eggs have too.

"Glide" was a typo. I meant open.

And in case you didn't realize or see the pictures, I have an Octagon Eco 20, with 19 eggs in it
