Help! first time hatching!

Might be worth a try, if nothing else has helped. I do wonder if they put off any "odor" or anything harmful to the eggs? What do you think Kathy?

Not yet. Trying to prepare. I have the sticky glow in one egg....

I've been biting my tongue, because I don't want it to be true, but I think I may have a couple of stickys too. And it is definitely NOT because of too high humidity. If anything, my humidity has been too low. A few of mine looked sticky several days ago, but a couple have improved since I added a shot-glass of water and got humidity up to about 35%. So I'm

For my tree frogs, when I had to lower humidity, I made an absorber. Triple layered stocking filled with corn starch, minute rice, and silica! It's what mold treatment specialists use when your basement floods!!! I made it the size of a small cucumber.

Very interesting! Stocking? Like pantyhose? Put one inside the other and those inside another, then fill? Do you remember the proportions of each? 1/3, 1/3, 1/3?

Yup, pantyhose! It's kinda 1/3 1/3 1/3. I go a bit heavier on the starch. And make a few. Switch out every am. Now, as all ingredients are odor absorbers, if an egg goes bad, it might mask the smell. Just guessing on that!

Very cool. At least it is every day stuff, so it should be easy enough. Would love to hear if someone tries it and it works!

@Lacrystol I hope you can try this!
