Help for a homemade chicken feed

Finally, as I am sometimes accused of being a "downer"

New Country Organics Layer Formulation

Reedy Forks Layer Feed

Look at the ingredients. Are all those things available to you??? and note the caveat - they may be milled on equipment that also mills wheat and other gluten containing sources. This is very greatly reduced risk, not 0 risk, if inhalation is a concern.

Ok then thank you all.
I read somewhere that gluten can be passed down but apparently that was false. Thanks for telling me that. Now I can look into homemade feed with wheat and such in it. No soy though. Although if any of you guys have your own recipes, I would really like to see them. Yet again thanks for the input!

I have looked at all of the links you sent me and they all have helped me see that gluten does not go into eggs. My family and I have been worried. We use Poulin Grain’s feed but I am interested in making my own. So all of what you have said has been very helpful! So I can’t say thank you enough!

Wheat based, no soy, no artificial anything, varies from day to day and sack to sack and tin of sardines to tin of sardines. Intended for birds that free range and can forage as they please; it does work with confined birds, but it's not designed for them.

Happy to help if you have any queries about it.
