I have 17 approximately 6 week old chicks, in a separate coop from the big chickens. About 10 days ago one of the Americanas start acting strange. She walks like she is drunk and has trouble staying upright. When she sleeps with the other chicks, she lays on her side with her feet stuck out to the side. I have examined her several times and she does not appear to be injured. She eats and drinks and hangs out with the other chicks. Her eyes are bright and no coughing or any sign that she is sick. Other than the walking issue, she appears to be fine. They are on medicated chick feed and have been since I first got them. The others are not picking on her and she appears to be part of the group. Any ideas?

It's possible a vitamin deficiency, do you have Nutri Drench handy? If so you may want to give some to this chick, it won't hurt. Where did you get your chicks from? If from a hatchery were they vaccinated for Mareks? Could you post a video; down load to YouTube, then up load here.

Thank you Chick Nanny. I got some Nutri Drench yesterday and gave her some. I'll repeat it for a few days. They were not vaccinated for Mareks. I'm working on a video, but she seems to be walking better, just having trouble with her balance, almost like her legs are weak. I've been giving them electrolytes in the water since I got them and all others are happy and healthy. I'm hoping she will pull through. I hate to loose any of them.
