Help for Effie Jo

Hello all,

Well, I traded the roo for a new pullet, she is 3 weeks old. The other girls are about 9 weeks old, They are mean to little Effie.




What do I do? I feel bad for her when they run her back into the coop and when they peck her hard on her back. I almost brought her into the house in a dog crate tonight. How long will this go on? And will the other girls kill her?
Im contemplating on either giving her back or trading the older girls for 2 more Effie's age.
Suggestions?

I've never added a bird, but from what I've read on BYC, maybe keep Effie seperate, but where they can all see each other. I read another post, someone said up to 3 wks, then integrate them at night/ roosting time. Hope this helps.
