I need help. I found a Baby Parrot last night. We could not find the nest. The parrot is with me now I’ve placed it in a cardboard box on a cloth. it bites badly. it has no feathers. it is eating well but I don’t know how to feed it I’m trying my best to feed it with the syringe but I’m scared of the bite.
I also found a small lumps on its skin. Kindly advise me on what to be done how to feed it and how to make sure that it is safe. I want to know if he is alright, is he weak. please check the pictures below.

How big is it in comparison to your hand? It looks like a parakeet suffering from feather loss and other symptoms. Could you get a closer pic of the boils?

Your local pet store should carry parakeet food and other types of seed mixtures for birds.

It’s the size of mustard. He’s got 3 boils like that. The food I’m giving him is for birds.. he’s eating well. Hiding himself under the cloth.

You can rub Neosporin on the affected areas so the infection is less likely to spread. In the meantime, are there any avian vets you can take it to?

I have nothing nearby. But I text my vet and all he said was to feed it every two hours ( which I’m doing). He seems to be so active. Cleans himself up and stands on his feet. Looks around every time someone comes around.

At least it's alert and eating. Hopefully the sores on its back begin to improve, it could have a fungal infection. Did you ask the vet about the boils/sores? Keep us updated.

I did. He had nothing to say about it. The vets here are mostly treating cats and dogs. They hardly do anything for birds. I applied baneocin on his skin. I force fed him.. as I couldn’t see his crop getting big. Any other guidance for me please?
