I have 6 month old barred rock hens and its about half that size but still has down feathers

It looks much bigger in the pics. and I agree, head and beak are different. As far as feathers falling out, I believe stress can cause it and I would say this one has had plenty of stress.

It's definitely awkward looking but with the news of it possessing a comb I must conclude it's a chicken. It could be swollen as others said, or just deformed. You must have a big heart because it's definitely ugly

I'm guessing chicken but have no idea what kind. A mix, maybe? Just subscribing to find the answer to this one.
