Thanks for all your advice. He does look like he is getting stronger and a little more coordinated. They are kinda funny at this stage. te he

I think they're funny at any stage. I love geese, and when (not if; when) I win the lottery, I want a goose farm.

Congratulations with your new gosling. Mine was dark like that, and he turned out to be a she. Not a sebbie, though, but a white goose.

That would be great if it is a girl!!

What is a reasonable price for sebbie goslings? I don't want those inflated really expensive prices, but a realistic one to give to my friend.

Ok, I have more goose questions for you! I bought a pair and thought they were both boys, so then I bought a trio. It turns out the first pair was boy/girl. So I have 2 males and 3 females, but they are kinda 2 different flocks. The boy in the pair is really protective and kinda ornery. The girl in the pair is laying and spends a lot of time on her nest. Then the two boys fight over the two girls left. I hate the fighting! I figure I will have to get rid of one of the boys. Will this mess up their bonding? If I get rid of the mean boy, will his girl be mateless? Or will she eventually be mate to the nicer boy?

Thanks again!

I don't know, I plan to keep mine in pairs if I can ever get more females. I've heard more saying they bond in pairs so I'd rather not risk it. Right now I have at least 4 ganders, 1 goose, and 1 I'm not sure about...I don't have too much fighting.

Shelly, I understand your concern, but mine are fighting badly. They are biting flight feathers off wings, so they are bleeding, and one has the tops of it shoulders worn bare from the other. I often find them with necks intertwined and biting each other! I don't like constant conflict in my flocks. I am just trying to decide which to get rid of. My immediate response is to get rid of the ornery one!

Here is a better pic of the gosling! She is getting pretty cute now.
