I have a chick that peeped yesterday, and hadn’t made any success. So I helped just a little. Everyone else has hatched, but one other egg that hasn’t peeped yet. But this one is still breathing but still in the same spot it was when it first peeped.

So do I leave it? Or help it more?

Which layer is the membrane? And how do you tell is the veins are absorbed?
The membrane is the part of the egg that lines the inside of the shell, if it gets too dry, it will be harder to get out. Chewing means it's still absorbing the yolk, it's good not to rush it. You can usually see veins in the membrane.

I waited a few hours, then put some oil on her bc she started to look dry, and she was cheeping and jerking like she was struggling so I intervened. In this photo, it looks like there was an air sac that wasn’t broke through, til I did. But she had peeps s long time ago.

You’ll see the sac at the butt of her, that wasn’t broke at all. Does that mean she didn’t internally peep before she externally Peeped?

That's what's left of the yolk, just let her rest for now, so her navel can close.
