A float test is where you put the egg in a bowl of water, you need enought water in the bowl so when you put the egg in it can float. If it floats it's no good. If you do this and it doesn't float get it out as soon as possible. I never do this because I'm afraid if the egg is good water can get in it.
I know today is day 28 for you but I would still give it move time. With all the work your doing it would be a shame if it was late and you gave up.
But I must tell you I'm hoping so much it hatches for you. I have tried to hatch turkey eggs in a bator and had no luck. I tried 3 and then 3 again. I want you to be repaired if it doesn't hatch. It will break your heart because I know it did mine and it's not your fault I think they are just hard to hatch.
Oh no. Hard to hatch? I have two turkey eggs in right now. They are very much alive. I was given two Rio Grande to hatch. Didn't ask for them, but here I am trying to hatch them. I have them in with some chicken eggs right now. Going for the incubate like chicken eggs until it's lockdown time. So far so good. Day 13.
Boy, I wish this person all the luck in the world. You have put so much effort into trying..you can't say you didn't try. Will be watching this thread, let us know!
Turkeys are actually pretty to hatch out.. most of the problems I have seen is when people have the lockdown humidity too low.. Ive had the best results when i bump it up to at least 80%
they also benefit from a slight drop in temp during lockdown
