Help help rabbit babys!!

She won't abandon them. its a myth. Ive raised rabbis for years, and have never had a doe abandon them just by touching them after they were born. I bring my nest boxes inside the same day they are born. There is also no reason to get rid of a doe just because she eats a baby. All does do that at one point or another.

Post pics when you can. It sounds like they'll be fine. Just check their bellies here and there to make sure they are well fed. Usually if you are going to lose babies it will happen in the first three days. After that then you can relax a little. Good luck with them and enjoy them. They grow like weeds!

I had one doe that would kill all of her babies. I got really frustrated with her, she had just had her babies one morning when I went out to fed the rabbits they were all still alive so being young I got the bright Idea to take them from her an try to save them. I was a sophmore in high school at the time and I took them to school with me and had lots of help throughout the day feeding them. When i got home from school I decided to try putting them back with the mother, I have no IDEA why I did that BUT, from that point on she never killed another bunny including that batch. So good luck

Good advice already given..Mothers will tend and feed usually 2 times a day....The exception to this for ours is the mini rex, she's constantly in and out of the box just checking on them...but feeds only 2 times a day....

If you can have 2 mommies deliver at the same time if you are worried about nourishment. Let mommy mommy and probably all will go well.

I try not to touch ours until 3 or more days old, but sometimes must, if one falls out of nest box, etc.

Praying for a great outcome...Keep us posted!
