Our poor hen came in through the cat door desperate for help (never happened before). Another in our flock was found dead in the coop the other day. This one has raised white growths behind BOTH ears and there are blood specks. She hasn't gone in the coop the last two nights. The dead hen was found with wounds all around her neck - thought maybe the rest of the flock went after her for a similar weakness as the current one. I don't want to lost the flock with a disease. I am keeping this girl in out basement tonight - I think the other hens are sensing weakness.

That looks like her ear lobe which can vary in color depending on the breed. Is your coop locked up and predator-proof at night? Look for holes where something like rats can get into at night. They can bite on toes and other body parts. Observe the flock with her during the day to check if she is low in pecking order and being pecked by her flockmates. What injuries did the chicken have who died?
