help hen in trouble *picture attached*

I put some prep h on the whole thing and I am leaving her alone for the night. I will post updated pictures tomorrow. and try the sugar thing. The thing that is sticking out of her is very hard and almost looks like its full of poo. but looks like there is no way for there to be a end on it that is plugged?. I am at a loss. It will not go back inside of her with my help anyway.

Sorry for lack of grammar been one of those days/nights

So there is no change today. it does seem like she can poo but it just comes out around the obstruction.

Yes, sugar! Even have heard of sugar used on humans. It shrinks the prolapse a bit and allows it to be pushed back up inside. Used it once on a hunting dog with vaginal prolapse - but then they must be kept quiet at least a couple of weeks for healing.

I am a nurse and I have seen sugar used to reduce swelling like that. It works great but takes time.

OK, so now I am at a real loss..... she still has that big thing hanging out of her and I just found a egg in her cage.. how in the world could she push a egg out with that hanging out of her. could it be possible this isn't hanging out of her and it's a leach or something crazy? now my brain is going crazy =((((

Have you tried to push it in since she laid an egg? How is she doing, eating and drinking fine. I know I am stumped at what that is, mostly likely a weird prolapse . Is it really hard.

It is really hard, I can not push it in her from what I can tell it would seem to Rip her apart doing so. She is drinking and eating normal. It is almost like a bad dream. She is also able to vent her poo in the cage I have her in, it just gets all over her because of the obstruction

Could you take her to an avian vet? It must be hard seeing her like that.

Have you soaked/washed her bottom in warm water? Have you given any electrolytes/vitamins or liquid calcium? Keep her in a dark area, you do not want her laying. Is a vet an option,b/c this prolapse has been out far too long.

Treat her again, soak her bottom in warm water, apply hemorrhoid cream(without pain relief)or whatever you are using, give electrolytes/vitamins or calcium, see if you can get this back in,you may need to use a sling/diaper to hold in place.
