Howdy all, I'm pretty new to this forum, so don't flame me. I have 7 bantam hens, 5 bb red chicks and 2 Belgum Bearded d'Anvere. Last night, I went out to check on them, and one of the D'Anveres was gone! Her name is Almond, and her sister, Peanut, was staying in chicken jail to stop a broody cycle. We looked around a bit last night, and I just spent a half an hour looking, to no avail. I don't see any remains, however. Could a predator have gotten her? She was with our 3 roosters all day, but I hadn't seen her since the morning.
However, she also hasn't been laying eggs in the coop for weeks now. If she was sitting on a nest somewhere, is there any way I can find her? The flock doesn't travel far, maybe a half an acre at most. Please respond ASAP, I want to find her!
