thinking of you

well, she made it through the night. Nothings changed though. I just got confirmed that it isn't cocci. So now I'm back at the beginning of not knowing whats wrong. She came from missouri so I don't know if theres any fungus there or not. I know that it didn't happen here. I got her out of the cage and she was already like this. She has been living in a box in my house for over a week now. Not getting better but worse. she is too the point now that she is almost giving up. she don't want to eat the food from the syringe anymore or even drink the water. I think she is to far gone now to do anything.

she died..... I just had to bury her.

R.I.P Splash Chick

I talked to the previous owner. He is going to give me another one for free next spring.

Thanks for everyones help. We tried.

That's ok. Now I just feel like I was making her suffer longer by feeding her instead of just letting her go.

I just thought I could maybe cure her. I think maybe it's this darn ohio weather. It's hot one day and cold the next. Maybe she got sick when she got to ohio. who knows.

But thanks for your help.

It's so hard sometimes to know when to keep trying or when to let one go... We can't foresee everything & sometimes things turn out such that we wish we'd made different decisions. You did your very best.

So sorry for your loss.

Thanks, everyone. You are all very nice. I was so proud of her when I got her. Now I lost her.
