HELP HEN WITH A GASH UNDER WING WHAT SHOULD I DO

The most important thing is to keep it clean and flies away. I'd separate her from the flock and limit movement. Like Kiki said, the Vetericyn spray is good for wounds like that. With some TLC she should heal just fine.

ONE rooster with 14 hens is good.
Any more then ONE is not good.

Then I'm in trouble. ;) It depends on the roos, though. My flock does well with as few as four or five girls apiece. Numbers vary.
 
They don't HAVE to be inside.
It's just a good way to keep flies away from the wound.
Research flystrike.....you do not want to be dealing with that next.
