In addition to the three tablets per day, I might also add 1/2 tablet (25 mg) per one pound of food.

Thanks this is awesome. I really appreciate all the help! That helps a lot. One of my vet books says when treating a niacin deficiency to give the bird 50 mg of niacin per kilogram of body weight 3 times a day. For your duck that means ~40 mg 3 times a day, so I think it if had one that weighed what your duck weighs and was showing signs of a niacin deficiency, I would try giving one of those 50 mg tablets 3 times a day.

See how the container has non-flushing. You don't want that kind. It won't help your duck.
Ducks/ducklings need 55mg of niacin per kg of food. Most eat .2kg a day so for maintenance they need 11mg of niacin a day.
For emergencies you can give up to 100mg a day for a week for any problems with legs and feet.
Yes, good, this explains why:If non-flush is bad. Is flush effect good?
I believe it's the same. Studies show that niacin with no-flush, non-flushing, and flush free don't work. Or bodies as well as ducks aren't able to absorb it the way it needs to be absorbed.
That contains 70 mg niacin per 15 ml (one tablespoon). This is what I would get and use for emergencies
