My 5wk old quail jumped up and cut its head on the cage. How should I stop the bleeding? Can I put styptic powder on it?

Apply pressure. Also if you have wound powder that would work. Also corn starch may help. Hope it's ok.
Flour or cornmeal will also help clot blood
