What can I do to keep the humidity up in my LG during lockdown ? It was up to 65 for the first 2 days, this morning it dropped down to 55, by lunch on down to 48. I know I'm not to open the bator, but what am I to do ? The humidity cannot stay that low, and neither can I figure out why it keeps falling so bad. I'm already scared ..... will they hatch . It's day 20.... I guess tomorrow will tell me ! Any suggestions ?

take a small hand towle if you have room and gett it comepletly wet and wring it out till its still nice and damp but not at all dripping and fold it 3 times and put it so that the middle of it is under one of the vent holes. This will bring the humidty up and give you a place to add water if it goes down again.

I'm not familair with the LG, but it sounds like your reservoirs ran dry or any sponge or such you were using dried out. Can you make something like this and go in through a vent hole to add more water?

I have a LG. I use sponges placed under the rack. Place them to where they are lined up with any of you're vent holes. I use a bendy straw and a condiment bottle I bought from walmart. When my humidity starts dropping I rewet them with hot water through the straw. Also you can use straw and bottle through the big vent hole at an angle to fill reservoirs.

Thanks for the ideas !! I was thinking about straws and droppers or squirt bottles -- and now I know that notion will work !! I have one pip so far

I'll be happy if one egg hatches out of 5. These are from our own gold laced wyandottes , so if it's a failure.. at least I didn't pay for them ... but the poor babies are at my mercy !! Thanks again. I love BYC
