I have 5 chicks who have hatched so far. My first hatch was early yesterday morning and the rest followed suit with the last one hatching at 11:30 last night. They are all dry and fluffy. My humidity is around 82-83 range and it’s not coming down. I had one of my 3 eggs that have not hatched pip around 12:00 last night also. My humidity is around 82-83 because every time a chick hatched, it would go up. I have kept it 65-70 before they hatched and I’m having trouble controlling the humidity with my 5 chicks in the incubator now. Will it hurt the chick that has pipped because the humidity is so high? Do I need to take the 5 chicks out?

Hello,
same thing happened to me, nothing bad happened to the chicks. One chick was in that incubator for at least 2 days and nothing happened:)
It's natural for the humidity and temp to go up in the incubator, for the chicks are wet when they come out of their shells plus they are warm. It shouldn't hurt the pipping chick. It's actually better than having the humidity being low and risking it being shrink-wrapped. The wetter the membrane the better, in my opinion. It makes it easier for the chick to hatch.
But since your humidity is so high, it is okay to quickly take out those chicks because there will barely be a dent in that humidity once you open it since it's already high😉
Only take out the fully dry fluffy chicks. Leave the ones that are still drying in the bator.

Thank you so much for your help. I have 7 healthy crazy babies!
