Help I’m so stupid

There is, that would be an herbicide.....
......but a pesticide would to control pests(insects or other 'animals').
The term pesticide describes rodenticides, herbicides, fungicides...basically anything that kills pests which are insects, weeds, fungi etc. First time something on this wonderful site touched my area of expertise!!

I stand corrected.
Pesticide for all pesky organisms to be killed.
Insecticide for insects.
Herbicides for plants.

I usually avoid chemicals completely where my girls roam but am thinking of using weed and feed. I only have 4 pullets who're 8 weeks old. I'm sure it'll be long gone by the time they start laying and plan on keeping them out of the area for a month or so.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Avoiding herbicides is a very good idea!!! Your pullets will love the various 'weeds' that will come up along with the grass, so enjoy them too. Mowing the lawn will favor grasses, and the other plants are a bonus. Monoculture is not an improvement!
