Maybe some Black Tailed Buff Japanese Bantams?

Or some OE Spangled like Junior here?

Could go to Silver Pheasants, never mind, they don't make good pets & need more room.

Or my 1st suggestion, Red Shouldered Yokahamas. This roo is about 16 mo.

You can't go wrong with Silkies. They are wonderful birds. A pair would fit nicely in your hutch. You can clip wings so that the other breeds can not fly.

but could a pair of them fit in the hutch on page 2? they would have a run too. do they need lots of care for their feathers? cuz i have to go to school 5 days a week from 7:10 to 3:20.

I agree but you should get faverolles they are super friendly and gentle.

Yes, but don't Faverolles get flighty? I read that somewhere and it kept me from going with buying any.

Faverolles are some of the friendliest birds ever they are docile and calm. Who told you they were flighty? Mine let me pick them up with no problem. They are shy around more aggressive chickens but if hand raised are super calm and friendly.

i forgot! one more question: are the yokies good for begginers: i've never had chickens before. also, are they ok layers? i've all of a sudden wanted at least an egg or two a week, can they do that?

oh, dear. things have changed, i moved to a big farm, i have chicken coop plans, need chickens, again, need good breed. i want one that i can show, does ok in cool weather, i don't care how many eggs they lay, and they will make good pets that will let me pick them up.
