Every morning my Rooster, Saintly crows. This morning he tries to crow but it is like he has laryngitis. He seems active, but no crowing sounds. What can I do for him. He is my watch roo. Every time something new is in the yard, Saintly lets me know. Saintly is a wyandotte and he is just over 1 year old. I have not notice any other concerns. Is there something I should look for? Is something caught in his throat? I need your help. This is not normal!

It's possible he might have something stuck in his throat or crop. Give him an eyedropperful of vegetable oil orally to swallow.
Then gently massage from his throat down past his crop. He'll pass or puke whatever is stuck.

Tried the oil. no change. Started him on Tylan 1cc injectable by mouth. His crop is small so I have been feeding him by hand. I open his beak and put in apple sauce and oats. Today I noticed a gurgling sound. Could this be sour crop? Or a lung congestion? HELP
Thanks

It (sound) is hard to tell. Yesterday there were no sounds. But today when I grabbed him to hold and give him tylan I heard them and they were strong. I felt his chest and could not feel anything but when I touched his neck I could feel the vibration. I guess the sound is breathing but not sure if in the lungs. He has had two rounds of the Tylan. His crow has improved. He is active and watching over his girls.
