HELP..I Don't know what to Do!!!!

Yes they can do a stool culture for organisms and check for worms. Are your chicks eating grass and other things besides chick feed while in the yard each day? Mine were allowed outside for a few hours a day and started smelling horrible till I gave them sand or chick grit to help with digestion. Also, I think their poop gets more stinky with each week. Hope your chick improves and you can find the cause.

It could very well be cocci - right age and droppings smell bad. Are they on medicated starter? If not, treat with Corid liquid at the rate of 2 tsp. per gallon of water for 6 days. The other option is treating with Sulmet or sulfadimethoxine, sulmet dosage is 2 tablespoons per gallon on water for 2 days, then half that for another 4. I think the sulfas are the better option if they've already been on medicated starter. Age is right for cocci - that's what I would treat for asap.

Any farm or livestock supply should carry them. Ours carries those meds over in the cattle section since I think they are mainly used for other livestock. For Corid I get the 9.6% liquid although others are able to get it in powder form. You will have to check on here for a dosage on the powder. Sulmet is probably the better option - it's a liquid and reasonably priced.

The only bad thing about Sulmet is that it can be hard on the kidneys. I usually try Corid first. I do agree that in this case i would go ahead and treat for coccidiosis. It would be the most likely thing going on with her. Whether you choose Corid or Sulmet, don't wait to get the treatment started. Good luck!

Yes they make a much smaller bottle. I have never even seen one that big. Maybe try another store. I guess go with the Sulmet if can't find a smaller one. I don't blame you for not wanting to get a $100 bottle. Good luck!

That is the problem, I have tried the only 2 stores that may sell these items and they don't have ANY of those meds...all they have is Duramycin- 10
