So sorry to hear about your hen! I'm going thru an impacted crop with mine right now, and we already lost one back in the summer to sour crop. It's so sad.

Like another poster said it's a part of life and it's happened to most of us.....join the club

I'm curiose to see as another urban chicken mama if you provide grit? sometimes in a small backyard like mine (I let them range all over the place though) they don't find enough rocks to grind there food, this can lead to an impacted crop.
