Welcome to BYC. You might consider having your roo as a house chicken. YES, some folks do keep them as house birds. I believe BYC still has a thread "People with House Chickens." My very senior friend has had them over 30 years (different birds of course) but generally silkies or seramas, who don't mind the confinement.
