Help I have a butt pecker

Pics
I've read here where too much DE can cause respiratory problems if inhaled too much. I would use that sparingly or not at all. At this time of year there shouldn't be too many critters in your coop or run with the cold weather, depending of course on where you live.
Some people swear by Diatamacious Earth and others don't use it at all. I used to use it in the poop trays but with cleaning and washing every day, it really isn't necessary so I no longer use it. I never put it in the nest boxes as those get cleaned daily as well.
You could stop using that and see if it helps with the occasional respiratory symptoms you see happening.
Definitely gonna stop. I haven’t added it in months but it has to be still in the mix. As soon as I can. A month maybe I’ll go get 100-200 bucks worth of that chicken sand. Every time I add that and get the other stuff wet and take some of that out bc it clumps when wet it seems to help with dust

You might check with some of your stores/suppliers that sell construction materials, see if they have construction sand or concrete sand. You can find those with larger particles, and it may be cheaper to get a bulk amount. Just don't get play sand or masonry sand, they are too fine and could cause blockages if ingested.

I got a truck load of concrete but when it’s wet it hunks up and I think it’s dusty also. That chicken sandwich people on fb make fun of is reallly nice. It doesn’t stay wet or hunk up if it does get wet and isn’t dusty at all

I’m goin to post a video the best I could get of the tongue but I’m not sure you can see much. Hard to hold her mouth open and the phone. I got a picture of iriss eye and it’s pretty swollen now. I have done terramycn ointment
3 times today. Online said 3-4 times a day.

@Wyorp Rock I know you had given advice before and are very knowledgeable. I had this thread going for a few issues in the flock. Everyone is better but this one with the eye. I have given baytril for 4 days and last night added metronidazole. The one that was sneezing and congested was on baytril and wasn’t super getting better. I noticed her tongue looked like white stuff was on it but not like canker. I started metro just in case. I’ll do a 30 day egg withdrawal. I don’t sell eggs and none on my family is allergic and feel ok with waiting 30 days and returning to eating their eggs. After the metro a few days the sneezer was better. She is now fully better. I started the eye chicken (Iris) on metro bc the eye is getting worse and I don’t know what else to do. I also had got her terramycin ointment and been putting that on her eye 4-5 days also. It has gotten a little worse since that pic in this post but my mom put ointment on her this morning and said it looks a little better this afternoon. I thought it was worse but I didn’t see it this morning and she is sure it’s a little better. Do you have any idea what I could do or what it is. I will add two have had no symptoms and one had issues laying an egg after not laying for a few weeks so I gave calcium citrate with d3 and she laid two eggs since. One was brittle and the other normal. But no other eye issues and the sneezer was the only like respiratory thing I have seen. And again all are fully normal acting and no symptoms now except the eye which is not getting better.

Since you've started the Metronidazole, I'd see if that helps.
