Hi everyone, I live in Upstate NY, and I have seven chickens. I got them as chicks this past spring. I have one, very vocal, New Hampshire red Rooster, four Red Star hens, and two Leghorn hens. I rebuilt an old chicken house that was on my wife's parents farm, it was built late 1,800's or early 1,900's. I insulated it real good and I have a heat lamp in it. It seems the chickens must like it, because even as cold as it is around here, they still produce every day. That is all except one of the leghorns, for some reason she never laid an egg. Is it possible that she never will? This hen seem to be a little slow, her comb is very small and immature, and she stays at the opposite side in the chicken house than the others. Other then that she seems normal and has a good appetite. Any info would be appreciated.
