Help! I have a one month old chick who accidentally got slammed in my room door

If he can’t move, I’d be very careful with heat. I will also say that if it doesn’t show any improvement within a few days, it might be time to think about what the kindest thing would be to do for the chick.

no, not likely. As you can see it is on the fluff, and as fluff falls off, feathers are normal color. When I looked into this, the dye is injected into the egg in a certain spot, at a certain later stage of growth. It is harmless, just not in favor in the US, so seems odd here. It isn’t animal cruelty.

If he can't walk he may have a spine or pelvis break. Is he pooping at all? Are his legs limp or do they react to pain?

He’s pooping regularly. I think he broke his pelvis If i put pressure on his butt he screams. He can’t use his legs to walk, just flaps around. But today i noticed he’s been curling his toes. So i think that’s a good sign? Also he doesn’t open his eyes a lot, i think that’s because he’s weak. Should i put a cast on the leg??

Also he’s been eating egg yolk and I’ve been forced feeding him home-made electrolyte water with a dropper, he cheeps but he’s very weak, gets tired easily after flapping around a bit

Now with the corona virus situation i’ve wanted to go to the vet as a last resort but if his situation gets worse i’ll take him immediately

If he can move hos toes, he's not paralyzed, but a pelvis break is rather bad too, just like in humans. Perhaps look into a chick sling?
