Help I have a sunburn!!

I raised my eyebrow at the statement, too, but that's what the Red Cross is teaching now, NOT to do it.

They had a couple of other things that we've done all our lives that we're not supposed to do anymore, but I can't think of them off the top of my head....I guess if a topic comes up about it, I'll remember!

Since I heal so fast and aloe makes it even faster, I can't say my knowledge of other healing herbs for sunburns is very extensive

Even if I'm burnt super bad if I put some on before I go to bed and get a decent amount of sleep, I usually wake up with *no* signs that the burn existed but a tan, lol.
Needless to say, I learned a bit from reading what others have posted here. Could come in handy when helping out friends who aren't as lucky as I am on healing time or don't get as much benefit from the aloe. Thanks

Well I figure that if it worked for my grandparents, my parents and my family, why stop because some pharmacuetical company is planning to make millions lying to us about something else being better and convincing us that what we were doing (and was working btw) is no good:>) I see more and more of that now and it is really becoming a pet peeve of mine.
I have many tried and true remedies that I use often. And I wouldn't change them for any product on a shelf.

Thanks everyone for all the good info. I do not have any watermelon on hand , I am going to try the conditioner, I am also just getting over cancer treatment and it seems that anything cut or scrape takes forever to heal. I am also wondering if the treatment is another reason I burned like I did.

Thanks so much
Erica

Will the watermelon still help if I get it in the morning?? One more question do I sleep with the conditioner on my back or wash it off?? Boy It sure smells good on my back and feels very cold.

I put it on the day I was burned, my DD put it on her arms the next day. According to her, your supposed to eat it, that not rub it all over your body. It took the heat out in both cases.

Aloe is a very powerful healing plant, and i dont care what the red cross is trying to push on us now. i have 6 plants ready to take the sting out of nettles, bees, hornets, sunburn, cuts, scrapes and even dandruff.

Bag Balm, Red Flower Oil and Aloe is and has been my medicine kit for 25 years.
