I have quail hatching. They started early and are hatching in the turner. The turner is off. This morning I see one that is trapped that had fallen between the turner and the incubator. Can I please open the incubator to help????

Too late. I opened it. I couldn't ignore it. I lifted the edge and lifted the chick out with a pencil. It's fine and humidity seams to be holding. I guess it helps that it's super humid in my basement where I'm keep the incubator.

I just stuffed paper towel in that space so it won't happen again. I'm disappointed that they are hatching in the turner, but oh well. They're cute!

good job i would have help it as well if that happened to me .. as long as humidity is holding all should be fine .u got any pics ? would love to see some :)

That same thing happen to me. The hatched 3 days early. I came home from work to 3 chicks hatched and a lot of pips, it turned out to be the best hatch I've ever had.
