HELP!!! I have an early hatch!!

They aren't due until Friday or Saturday and I have one that hatched today while we were away, what do I do? HELP?!!?!

Is the temp on your bator ok? i think sometimes a higher than
normal temp can cause early hatching.

Any signs from the other eggs?

Are these chicken chicks? I've had (chicken chick) hatches start on day 19. They all did fine.
Did it pip... or just hatch? I've also had a chick pip early... it didn't hatch until about 48 hours later.

It looks good! And we have another pip! I am so nervous, I just took the turner out today cause I thought we weren't due until Saturday. They are chicky eggs! Frizzle/cochin and silkies!! I am so excited and nervous!

Oh and my early one has completely hatched!

They'll be fine... just pretend they were due today!

But it probably means your temps were a little on the high side, or the eggs were stored in too warm an area so they started to incubate before you set them.

High temp=early hatch
Low temp=late hatch

Good thing you didnt end up with scrambled eggs!!! LOL

silkies can hatch early if they smell someone making porridge and scrambled eggs...they think it's breakfast time.
