Thanks Kaleeka for sending me towards the farmer! I was able to "switch" the 2 roosters for 2 hens at school. I don't think the few children who saw the roosters will notice the difference, except maybe once's not crowing! I hope the lone little rooster learns fast! Leaving soon to get the girls in Ohio. Now we should have enough layers to be able to donate eggs to Forgotten Harvest (who by the way cannot take the meat). Also now I can teach my students about different breeds! I'm glad it worked out, and I was able to help. I'm sure the kids will enjoy the chickens and that's great that the eggs are going to a good cause.
