Help! I need to identify this waterfowl!

[Boggy Bottom Bantams]

I'm not guessing (these are kind of my thing), IT IS A GREBE, often commonly called coots in the south, but now where near an actual American Coot, and as for surf scoter, oh Lord no, they are large fat bodied seaduck with webed feet.
100% grebe

My favorite class in college was Ornithology, and I have always loved Grebes...still not sure why.

I think Mergansers are pretty neat, too...heck, I just love birds!

Same here Heritagebirds.
Grebes, gallinules, and such are alway cool to watch.
And I love mergansers, hoodied, red breasted, american and smew all look great. I've kept all but the red breasteds, and they are just awsome...

pups thinks it's a juvenile sharp shinned. I think it was on page 11.
