a slight cooling wont affect the eggs....what do you think happens when the hen gets off her eggs to eat... they must cool a little

I have had some tuff little cochins hatch chicks in January, and they must have gotten cold when she got off, they had good hatch rates. I have heard better cooler than hotter. :)Good Luck !!

Today I had a chick, normal and healthy, hatch from an egg that was in the 30's when I found it.

While running too cool for a week like 93, might do harm a brief period doesn't seem to.

I had times when I got up to find my homemade bator running in the 95-96 range and probably had for a few hours. They still hatched.

Heat and not enough ventilation kill chicks. Chicks drown from too high a humidity.

Cooling off briefly doesn't appear to do them all harm. Now it might take out a weak one but that's nature.

Thanks BYC buddy's. I think all will be well. Now I wait.......
